NU Flotilla Company has designed a small independent floating home system to provide you with a home suitable for use in deep water we call The SeaKeep™. A true getaway that can be parked in water as deep as 100' and secured using Environmental moorings. It is designed to provide a safe place to store your gear even when you are away. It is very hard to break into the SeaKeep thus the name. It will be your castle on the open ocean, a port in the storm and a place of refuge and recreation.

The floatation for the home design is shown in the image linked here. The SuperDeck is the support system for the SeaKeep Floating Home System. The SuperDeck is designed from super strong pultrusion formed FRP materials. These materials are UV coated to provide a lasting home float that will handle the rough ocean environment. The materials selected for this floating home system have specs similar to high grade steel but without the corrosion problems and weight problems of steel construction. All resins used in this home are fire resistant. Half inch thick carbon fiber reinforced concrete surfaces in all living areas provide a safe easily washable and paint able living space surface.

The SeaKeep Home designed for this flotation system is rated at 6 tons total weight. The SuperDeck floating home platform is designed for a maximum load of 12 tons. It will keep 12 tons of load high and dry 10 feet off the water with ballast full. Each leg of the float system has independent redundant ballast pumps.

The image below depicts the SeaKeep floating home in one possible surface finish. The lower hatch and airlock will not be shown in detail except to new owners for security reasons.

The detailed layout of the SeaKeep™ floating home is shown in the images below. The home is designed to S. Florida building codes and will include all features outlined in these images.

The drawings detail the layout we envision, but the customer can modify the floor plan and change any part of the layout so that the design better suits your needs. The price is flexible if you want to provide more of your own furnishings for instance and can be a bit higher if your needs are for a more deluxe accommodation than we provide. The SeaKeep floating homes are designed with a storm and rain proof, modified concrete outside skin over an EPS foam core construction with a integrated light weight and strong galvanized steel frame. Windows come with lamination for improved storm, as well as thermal energy resistance. All finishes and materials selected in the construction of these units is safe for marine life. The home comes standard with a bio reactor waste conversion system and will not discharge in a harmful manner to sensitive eco-systems.
