Michael McDonnough owner of NU Flotilla Company has as of April 14th 2008 been appointed as the president of Remington Ventures Inc a public company. As president he will fold the business of NU Flotilla Company into the operations of REMV

Nu Flotilla Company is a design consulting firm and a partnership of expertise and experience in building innovative solutions for water colonization from the edges of land to the deep oceans. It is well understood by many now that the Earth is not just running out of fossil fuel but also available land for comfortable living. The oceans may rise and the storms may ravage the land but we will rise above it in advanced living and working structures built to take the roughest conditions or simply move and get out of the way of danger, something conventional constructions simply can not do.

We are in various stages planning and of development of projects designed for many different home and business applications. This web site will be undergoing many changes in the coming weeks so forgive the slight unorganized interface we are working with at the moment.

The 12 units will be custom designed for each owner. The interior walls are not load bearing so the structure can fit any desired floor plan at no added cost for up to 4 rooms.

These barges require only 4 weeks lead time to deliver after your paid order. These barges will provide a very stable home platform even in rough seas. The barge model shown above demonstrates only one possible deck finish. Simulated stoned, brick, or wood finishes are all available at a similar cost. Barge price is FOB Fort Myers, Florida. Fresh water tanks and coast guard approved waste water treatment system available at additional cost. These barges are constructed using state of the art technology that requires very little welding and does not require the lead times that barges made from other materials require.

For those interested in having us design and build a custom unit that is of a high value for a reasonable price we have designed a quality Floating Estate that uses the SWATH Hull barge for open water comfortable living, and the state of the art in light weight composite construction.

See Floating Homes now being designed to be built and delivered worldwide for use on inland waterways. We will arrange all aspects of the environmentally friendly energy and waste recycling systems. Our services will also include the overall planning for the neighborhoods including transportation and insurance. We will be the primary builder of the SWATH hull deck barges but will not be the builder for the homes but will be the developer and coordinator of each development. Every need of the early New Utopia settlers will be before we head out.

Our waste water treatment needs will be met with coast guard approved systems so the reef life will be protected. We will also place our first community near deep water so that we can use a heat exchange type of fresh water production for combined cold air and water production.

All barges and homes will be constructed to stringent standards and designed with roll down shutters to protect them from high winds. The construction technology used for all homes will be in line with South West Florida standards, and will be built by South West Florida contractors. Optionally we can arrange for your own manufactured home to be fitted to one of our SWATH barges.
