The generic name of this drug is citalopram HBr; orally administered selective serotonin re-uptake inhibitor with unrelated chemical structure of other available antidepressant agents. It is white to off-white powder and sparingly soluble in water and in ethanol. It is available in 10 mg tablets, 20 mg and 40 mg respectively. Some of the inactive ingredients are corn starch, copolyvidone, magnesium stearate, lactose monohyrate, glycerin and crosscarmellose sodium. 20 mg tablet is in pink and beige for 10 mg tablet.
